Berry Sweet Tilda!

May 2, 2011

I’ve really been missing coloring Tilda ~ It’s been way too long! Sooooo, when I found this strawberry DP the other day, I thought it would be a perfect match for this cutie. This is Sweet Tilda from the Raising the Ceiling collection, along with Fruit Label from the A Little Yummy for Your Tummy collection.

As you can see, I went a little DOTTY crazy trying to match Tilda’s apron to the strawberries! I’ve used some Liquid Pearls in White Opal for all the dots. The sentiment is from an older PTI set called Green Thumb and it seemed to be made for the Fruit Label . . .

Hope you’re having a good week! Thanks for visiting.

Pretty in PURPLE!?

March 8, 2011

I know the movie is actually Pretty in Pink,  but, I LOVE purple and thought Tilda would be perfect in this color.    🙂    I used these flowers from my garden as inspiration for this Copic color combination …

Here’s a photo of the full card:

This card was actually made for an edition of the Ett Trykk magazine from this past summer!    I had forgotten to post it here to share with you, but thought these colors might brighten a very dreary day we’re having here in Wisconsin.

 Thanks for your visit today!

A belated Valentine!

March 3, 2011

Hello!   Sorry for my lack of posts last month  – we’ve recently sold our house and are moving to a new home in an area which is closer to family and friends!     We’ve been VERY busy working out all the details for the big move on the 21st of this month.

I’ll try to catch up these next few days with a few cards I’ve made recently.   This was for a challenge of making a Valentine without using Red or Pink!   Now that was a tough one!

I decided to go with a black and yellow bumble bee theme, starting with paper from Bo Bunny’s new Crush 6×6 paper pad. This cutie Tilda from Magnolia is actually called Dragonfly Tilda … but I cheated and colored her as a bumble bee!

Her wings were stamped onto vellum paper, cut out and attached to the backside of Tilda and then some icicle Stickles were added.   I also added a bee button from my stash which has been attached to a black button. Trying to keep all the bees similar, I’ve added icicle Stickles to all the wings!

Thanks for stopping in today!

You’re in my heart!

February 9, 2011

Well, this certainly seems to be quite the popular challenge this time of year!    The current challenge at the 7 Kids College Fund challenge blog is to include a HEART on your project.

This adorable Tilda is from the brand new Magnolia You Are So Special collection  … She’s called Tilda with Heart ~ I just love that sweet look on her face and how her feet are a little turned in, giving her the look of being a little bit shy or nervous.

I do love these bright colored papers!   They are from the new  Sassafras Paper Crush collection ~ Pucker Up.      I’ve cut hearts using the Spellbinders Nestabilities Classic Hearts and added some ribbon from my stash which was gathered around the back and attached with some strong double-sided tape.

Thanks for stopping in today.   I hope you’re having a great week!

Tilda & Edwin Dancing!

January 8, 2011

Happy weekend everyone.    It looks like Tilda and Edwin are having fun!     This card is for a new challenge blog called MAKE IT COLOURFUL   . . .   and Tilda & Edwin are so happy, they’re dancing!!  🙂    The DT  will be sharing ideas using all different coloring mediums ~ markers, watercolour or pencil, with a new challenge every Saturday.

The challenge this week is to use WARM or COLD colors.   I’ve combined a new digi image from Make It CraftyTree of Love  with the new Tilda & Edwin Dancing stamp from Magnolia.   So many of the Make It Crafty  images work really well with Magnolia stamps.

I decided to do an easel card and have Tilda & Edwin dancing on the bottom section of the card.   I used a small piece of Grafix clear film (acetate) folded in half to attach them.

It seemed to me that the leaves on the Tree of Love image from Make It Crafty looked like hearts.    So I colored them to match my DP and added the “carved”  initials T & E to the tree!

And finally, here’s a closeup view of the chipboard sentiment sticker from We R Memory Keepers.

I hope you can pop over to the new Make It Colourful challenge blog.   You won’t be disappointed!    The DT has come up with some amazing WARM and COLD projects for your inspiration!

Thanks for visiting – hope you’re having a great weekend!

Happy New Year!

December 31, 2010

I wanted to make one last Magnolia card for this year to take this opportunity to wish you all a wonderful new year!   I’ve used the adorable Tilda with Tulips for this one, and a new digi image from Make It Crafty … that I think was made for Tilda!    🙂    It’s called Ornate Floral Scroll.

Here’s a closeup view of the computer generated sentiment I added which seemed also made for these gorgeous flowers  . . .

So that is Tilda and my wish for you on this New Year’s Eve!     Thanks for stopping by today.

Reindeer Tilda & Jingle Bells!

December 15, 2010

I really had fun with this adorable Reindeer Tilda from the 2010 Magnolia Merry Little Christmas collection.   She’s been colored with Copics, cut out and attached with pop dots to the oval die cut shape.   I’ve used the new Spellbinders Beaded Ovals and added some white ink to the back of each circle trim piece.

Did you notice the jingle bell necklace Tilda is wearing?   I had some matching teeny, tiny jingle bells in my stash and added those to each corner and on the centers of the poinsettia flowers . . .

Did you also know that these bells actually jingle?!    So fun!

This card is for the All That Scraps Wednesday challenge this week ~ Christmas Flowers.

Thanks for stopping in today.  I hope your week is going well.
