The Key to my Heart

January 4, 2010

Happy New Year my friends!     Of course you know what that means …  time for Valentines Day cards!    This cutie is called Tilda with Key and the background stamp is the Love Heart ~ both from the Magnolia Love Collection.

Tilda has been colored with Copics, with part of her dress paper pieced.   The key was heat embossed onto silver foil paper and cut out also.   The background Heart stamp impression was sponged with Distress Ink in Dusty Concord.  The edges were sponged with Aged Mahogany.    The DP is from DaisyD’s Maybe Baby Collection.    Here’s a photo of the inside of the card where I’ve added a silver key charm:

Thanks for visiting today.   I hope you are staying warm on this chilly January day!     🙂

Wow Mary, a beautiful card. I love the paper piecing and the ribbon through to top of the key is a lovely touch.

I loved your work in Magnolia Ink Magazine too.

    Hi Mary!
Beautiful card – love the way you made the key. Can you tell me about the gold and silver ‘foil’ you work with and where you get it?
    Great sentiments.
    Beautiful Tilda as usual :o)
    Hugs, Candy
