Handpicked, Just for You

Hello again!   Sorry for the long pause between cards … I’ve been on a bit of a “holiday”!   I had finished all my Magnolia.nu  DT cards and decided to take a little break.  But, I couldn’t stay away long, I just love these stamps toooo much!!

I know it’s a little early, but i really love to make Fall themed cards, with the rich vibrant colors!  This is Tilda with Sunflower, an image from the 2008 Halloween & Autumn Magnolia collection.

I highlighted Tilda on two Spellbinders Peony die cut shapes to try to achieve the look of a subtle sunflower background.

I just love all the Fall colors on this K&Company Specialty 12 x 12 paper pad and tried to incorporate those colors into my coloring of Tilda.   The sentiment from the PTI Flower Garden Sentiments set was stamped with Versifine ink and cut out with the smallest Tag die from Spellbinders.

I added some self-adhesive gold rhinestones, a single felt leaf and some miscellaneous sheer olive green ribbon to the card, to portray the flower stem.

The center peony die cut and tag were edged with Distress inks in Scattered Straw and Vintage Photo.      Little Miss Sunflower Tilda was, of course, colored with Copics!   Here’s a closeup photo of Tilda and my triple layered sunflower  …

Thank you for visiting today ~ I hope to be able to post a few more Magnolia images VERY soon!

Mary, I’m so glad to see those fall colors coming out! This is just gorgeous, rich and vibrant and so well colored. Your little tag attached to the ribbon is sweet as can be. I love how you used the peony die cuts sponged with distress in to add that splash of warm color behind Tilda. Beautiful job…
